I am a designer

I am a designer. I am an animator. I design characters and their background to move and interact. I sketch out these things to bring them to life. This career is what I want to spend my life doing. Drawing has been my passion ever sense I could hold a crayon and I believe the most satisfying thing will be when my drawings start to move.  It's a dream I am determined to make reality.  

Final Project

Day 1: I talked with the other people in my major and decided the most important elements of my composition are shape and color. The most important principle is repetition. 

Day 2: I started thinking of ideas and sketched out some concept ideas.

Day 3: I got one colored and small detailed concept idea done.

Day 4: I thought of names and began coming up with their background story. I decided Frank for the Giraffe, and Sammy for the ferret.

Day 5: I began drawing the emotions for these characters and cut them out.

Day 6:  I redrew my concept idea, finalized it, and cut it out.

                                                               

Day 7: I drew the front view of my characters and cut them out. I also drew out their names for the finished product.

Day 8: I organized and glued all the pieces on a black poster board. This was my finished product.

 Vibrating Colors

Vibrating colors are colors that put beside one another, make the eyes flip back and forth.

Surrealism

Surrealism is a form of art that cannot be explained rationally.

Enigmatic

Enigmatic is when the sizing of objects throw off the viewer because they're in a strange proportion.  For example, teacups and plates are not usually this large compared to humans.

Hieratic Scaling

Continuation

Continuation is when an object continues to make your eyes follow it.

Repetition

Repetition is the repeating of an object throughout an image.
